Best Basmati

1 part basmati
1-1/2 parts water or stock

In medium saucepan, add basmati.  Fill the pot with water, and rinse several times until the runoff is almost clear.  Allow to soak for at least half an hour.  Drain.  Add the liquid to the saucepan and bring to a boil.  Add rice, stir, cover, and reduce heat to low.  Simmer for 10 minutes, remove from heat, and allow to sit another 10 minutes.  Fluff with fork, season as desired, and serve.
